Litecontrol partners with Armstrong TechZone™
Litecontrol has partnered with Armstrong Ceiling & Wall Systems to produce lighting fixtures that are pre-qualified for fit and finish in the Armstrong TechZone™ Ceiling Systems.
Litecontrol offers 6” wide continuous, 6” wide linear and 4” wide linear recessed lighting fixtures for TechZone ceilings in the popular Mod family. The Mod TechZone recessed fixtures can be complemented with Mod wall- and pendant-mounted fixtures, allowing the designer to achieve clean, rectilinear lines throughout the design. Litecontrol is the only approved partner for the 4" TechZone lighting fixtures.
In terms of sustainability, the combination of TechZone and High Light Reflectance Optima or Ultima ceiling panels can contribute to LEED® credits for recycled content, daylighting and energy consumption. Litecontrol’s efficient lighting systems can also enable LEED credits for energy efficiency, and the Cradle to Cradle Certification for Litecontrol fixtures can help earn a LEED credit under Innovation in Design.

Classroom Lighting Calculation iPhone App
Litecontrol has developed an iPhone and iPad app to help lighting designers and specifiers calculate energy efficiency and cost for lighting in standard classroom settings. The application is now available for free download at the itunes store.

AIA Seminar Available
We have a new one-hour AIA seminar that is based on our popular “Light the Walls” brochure. The seminar explains the importance of lighting the major surfaces of the spatial envelope – the ceiling and walls – to create pleasant and comfortable spaces. This seminar qualifies for 1 SD credit. Litecontrol’s Mainstream L20 has won a 2010 Green GOOD DESIGN Award. The Green GOOD DESIGN Award is a specialized edition of the GOOD DESIGN program which has been in existence since 
1950 and remains the oldest and most important design awards program on a worldwide scale. The Green GOOD DESIGN award emphasizes the importance of sustainable design and informs the international general public about which companies are doing the best job in sustainable design for our world environments. Litecontrol was chosen from thousands of submissions from over 46 nations.

The Wall/Slot 2100 system provides perimeter lighting from a small-scale profile, with the lamps completely hidden from view. The 6" height of the fixture works well in spaces with restricted plenum depths, and the 6" width provides a narrower slot than other fluorescent Wall/Slot products.
