John Spoor Broome Library

The John Spoor Broome Library is located on the California State University, Channel Islands (CSUCI) campus in Camarillo, California. The library formally opened on April 4, 2008 and was named a winner in the California Construction magazine Best of 2008 awards program. The Library won the Award of Merit in the Outstanding Architectural Design category. An independent jury of industry experts in design and construction judged more than 140 nominated projects in a variety of categories.

The project is not LEED certified, but a number of sustainable elements went into its construction. Litecontrol's Mod66N is used for lighting the circulation desk and book stacks, while the SAE 9700 is used in common and study areas. Both fixtures are Cradle to Cradle Silver Certified.
