I’m continuing my thoughts on the Getting Specified by Making Your Website Designer Friendly seminar, presented by Jody Pritchard and Kristin Peck at LightFair 2011. LightFair Seminar for Manufacturers?!

Mega-kudos to Jody Pritchard and Kristin Peck for presenting the Getting Specified by Making Your Website Designer Friendly seminar at LightFair earlier this month. This seminar was created specifically for the benefit of lighting manufacturers. I was probably the first person to register since a seminar specifically designed for manufacturers is a rarity anywhere, let alone LightFair. Following are key points from the survey results that should help manufacturers understand how a lighting designer uses a manufacturer’s website as well as some tips on how to market themselves better to designers.
