Performance SpecificationsCove-30These performance specifications are written for use in plans and bid documents. They are intended for reproduction as precise descriptions of the technical specifications for Litecontrol products. The luminaire shall be 8" wide by 3 1/8" deep, die-formed and welded 20-gauge steel designed to sit in an architectural cove. Paint finish shall be baked white enamel. Ends provided with a 7/8" hole to accommodate pre-wiring. For lowering beam throw by tilting fixture, an optional accessory shall be available that snaps onto the housing to raise back of fixture. The housing shall require no attachment to the architectural cove. The reflector system shall be precisely shaped for maximum horizontal light projection. It shall consist of die-formed steel, finished in high-reflectance white, and may contain inserts of high-reflectance aluminum. A luminance control deflector (LCD) shall be steel, finished in high-reflectance white. LCD shall attach to the top edge of the fixture and minimize socket shadows on the wall behind the fixture. The fixture shall be available in one- or two-lamp T8 and T5 (standard or high-output), and one-lamp compact fluorescent cross-section. The one-lamp T8 shall be 79.5% efficient, with a maximum intensity of 1065 candela at 117.5° above nadir in the 180° plane (room side). The two-lamp T8 shall be 63.2% efficient, with maximum intensity of 1619 candela at 122.5° above nadir in the 180° plane (room side). The one-lamp high-output T5 shall be 83.0% efficient, with a maximum intensity of 2006 candela at 115.0° above nadir in the 180° plane (room side). The two-lamp high-output T5 shall be 81.0% efficient, with maximum intensity of 3766 candela at 127.5° above nadir in the 180° plane (room side). The one-lamp compact fluorescent shall be 74.5% efficient with maximum intensity of 2199 candela at 117.5° above nadir in the 180° plane (room side). Fixture and electrical components shall be UL and/or CUL Listed, and shall bear the I.B.E.W., A.F. of L. label.
