Performance SpecificationsRecessed Wall/WashThese performance specifications are written for use in plans and bid documents. They are intended for reproduction as precise descriptions of the technical specifications for Litecontrol products. The housing shall be 9 1/16" wide by 4 3/4" deep, die-formed and welded 20-gauge steel, baked matte white enamel in 2-foot and 4-foot lengths. Ends shall be notched to allow installation in exposed inverted T-bar grid ceiling (NEMA type GF) with main T-bars at 2'-0" OC or 4'-0" OC. T-bar safety clips at the end of the fixture shall be attached at the factory prior to shipping. Exposed flanges along the sides of the fixture shall support the ceiling tiles. The housing top and ends shall be provided with 7/8" diameter knockouts (1/2" trade size). The top of the housing shall have an access opening covered by a plate containing two 7/8" diameter knockouts. 1/4" diameter holes shall be provided, positioned at 90° to each other, along the upper edges of the housing for installation of supplementary chain or wire support as may be required by local codes. The reflector shall be a compound reflector of .025" thick specular aluminum. There shall be a curved reflector behind the lamps (room side) to light the wall within 6" of the ceiling when placed as close as 18" from the wall. There shall be a curved reflector in front of the lamps (wall side) to project the light evenly down a 9-foot high wall, with a calculated maximum luminance ratio of 4.5 to 1. The ends of the fixture shall match the specular material. The fixture shall be available in one- or two-lamp T8 or one-lamp compact fluorescent. With one-lamp T8, the fixture shall be 68.0% efficient with maximum intensity of 1500 candela at 25° above nadir in the 0° plane (wall side). With two-lamp T8, the fixture shall be 56.7% efficient with maximum intensity of 2160 candela at 15° above nadir in the 0° plane (wall side). With one-lamp compact fluorescent, the fixture shall be 58.1% efficient with maximum intensity of 1430 candela at 20° above nadir in the 0° plane (wall side). Fixture and electrical components shall be UL and/or CUL Listed, and shall bear the I.B.E.W., A.F. of L. label.
